When you know it’s time for your kids to go back to school

August 8, 2018

Summer is great and all, but there’s only so much a mom can handle, you know?

June starts out fun, but by August, there are some pretty tell-tale signs that it’s time for your kids to find another adult to hang out with all day. Here are just a few:

Regardless of how many fun things you’ve done, your kids have been bored since June.

Your kids’ friends have started calling you mom.

You ran out of Otter Pops.

You no longer remember what it feels like to have personal space.

Who needs a babysitter when you’ve got Netflix and dinosaur chicken nuggets?

You daydream about going to Target by yourself.

If you hear the word “Mom” one more time, you’ll probably rip your ears off.

People keep touching people.

Everything in the house smells like chlorine and sunscreen.

Lunch? Costco samples.

You’re not quite sure if your living room will ever recover.

The ER doctor and ice cream man know you by your first name.

Your bathroom visits are getting longer.

You frequently fight the urge to just crawl into bed and pretend you’re not a mom anymore.

You saw the “back-to-school” shopping signs and started weeping with joy.

Okay — maybe it’s not all that bad. Summer had some good parts to it too. Turn your favorite summer memories into a DVD that your entire family can enjoy! Click here to download our app today.
